From a photography perspective, this time also allows for relaxed, intentional wedding portraits prior to the ceremony. I’m a strong believer in First Looks because they create room for connection—an unhurried moment to be together before the celebration truly begins.

While adding in a First Look to your wedding day timeline might seem non traditional, it does have its pros and perks when added to any wedding day.

INTMACY & PRIVACY:

Doing a First Look will allow you and your loved one to share an emotional and personal moment alone, without feeling the pressure of having all eyes on you.



PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES:

With a First Look, you have more time for wedding portraits before the ceremony, which can mean more relaxed photos. It also gives me more wiggle room with the timeline when it comes to capturing some candid moments of you two.


REDUCED NERVES:

Seeing each other before the ceremony can help calm pre-wedding jitters, allowing the you two to enjoy the day being more relaxed.


LOGISTICAL BENEFITS:

Having your photos taken earlier in the day frees up time after the ceremony for you two to enjoy your reception and spend more time with your guests.
